Mountain guiding services is a specific responsibility that require certain skills, knowledge and experience before client. Hiking a mountain and jungle trekking in the thick rainforest of Malaysia can be very difficult because of the vegetation, mixed wet and dry trail without proper management and the unpredictable weather. Multiple river crossings, uneven ground and root scrambling is normal and become part of the challenges.

Mountain is a large land-form that arise certain height which is higher than surrounding level in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally steeper and higher than a hill. Mountains are formed through tectonic forces or volcanic. These forces can locally raise the surface of the earth.

Guide is a person that are responsible to lead an individual or a group of people around the places of interest. A guide should be the most knowledgeable person about the area and able to perform a plan and decision throughout the journey.

No Service Price
1. Mountain Guide
Description: our standard ratio for efficient guide services is based on ratio 1:6 and the price is for one guide per day, inclusive travel day.
1.1 Daytrip (maximum 8 working hours, extra charges RM40/hour) RM300
1.2 Overnight (maximum 8 working hours per day, extra charges RM40/hour) RM250
2. Permit & Permission Arrangement Fee
Disclaimer: There will be a different rate for entrance permit and the permission price for each mountain and it depends on the state government and/or the management of the area.

FAQ

1. The guide rate is slightly higher and there's a lot of cheaper rate in the net.
A: We believe in our years of experience, intensive training and necessary certified qualification is our key to success in serving the best quality to our client to enjoy the journey in the safest way.

2. If there's an emergency, should you charges the client for extra?
A: Depending on the situation and the cause of incident by human factor such as ignorance, inflexibility, unfit or unpreparedness.

3. How long does the permit application process will take?
A: Application process will take about 7 to 14 working days.

4. Why does the process take a lot of time?
A: Most of the mountains in Malaysia is in the Forest Reserved Area where permit application need to be done through District Forest Officer. In short, we need to abide by the government policies.
